Riverdale boys golf team returns home from State with hardware and warm community welcome
PORT BYRON, Ill. (KWQC) – The Riverdale Rams boys golf team has lots to celebrate as they descended into town with a hero’s welcome home from the state golf tournament on Saturday.
The Riverdale boys golf team secured an impressive third place finish in the IHSA Class 1 A State Finals at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington, Illinois.
Also, Aidan Dorathy claimed the title of Overall Class 1 A State Champion.
Dorathy got a hole in one on Hole 5 and ended up winning by two strokes.
Mason Smyser also earned an individual medal by placing ninth.
