Former USC wide receiver and Pinnacle High three-sport athlete Duce Robinson is visiting Arizona State football, per multiple reports, after entering the transfer portal on Tuesday.
247Sports’ Chris Karpman even reported that Robinson was seen having dinner with ASU staff members on Friday night during this official visit to ASU. Robinson, a sophomore, is the No. 2 wide receiver in the transfer portal per 247Sports, and the No. 2 overall player as well.
He starred at Pinnacle in not just only football, but also baseball and basketball. Robinson played baseball last season for USC as an outfielder.
On the football field, he has played 23 games in his two seasons and caught 39 passes for 747 yards and recorded seven touchdown catches. He also had an interception this season, as well as a blocked punt last season.
Robinson would likely slot in as one of the Sun Devils‘ top two wide receivers as it stands now, along with this season’s leader Jordyn Tyson. Tyson posted 1,101 receiving yards this season with 10 touchdown catches.
Robinson was a five-star recruit out of high school, and the No. 1 tight end recruit in the nation. The No. 19 overall recruit in the country, he was also the No. 1 recruit from Arizona. Robinson grabbed 84 receptions for 1,614 receiving yards and 14 touchdown receptions his senior year at Pinnacle (2022).
The four-star transfer, 6-6, 220 pounds, carries two more years of eligibility. It remains to be seen if Robinson would play baseball at Arizona State, should he join the Sun Devils. Robinson recorded a .167/.167/.333 slash line in four games (two starts) with the Trojans‘ baseball program in 2024.
ASU is yet to land a transfer in the 2025 cycle to this point, and have 11 outgoing transfers (three wide receivers). Its high school recruiting class ranked 48th in the nation.
