The New York Jets and Aaron Glenn could be happening soon, according to reports relating to some discussions the coach has had with his contemporaries.
The Detroit Lions defensive coordinator and Washington Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark had second interviews in New York on Tuesday. A separate report stated that the Jets’ plan was to “not let them leave the building” until they signed.
That did not happen, but Wednesday follow-up reports have indicated that Glenn still might land in New York.
Per multiple reports, Glenn has contacted assistants around the NFL to ask them about potentially joining his coaching staff… with the Jets:
As for Aaron Glenn: There are coaches around the league considering whether to join his staff in New York.
So again, barring something unexpected, he’s still expected to be the next #Jets coach.

Breaking: I’m told that #Lions DC Aaron Glenn has made it known he’s planning to take the #Jets head coach job, as early as yesterday, per multiple league sources.
This is the expectation still, barring a major setback or flub. pic.twitter.com/Q2eTmAvwMX

I don’t know, but I talked to an assistant coach today whom Glenn talked to about joining his coaching staff — his Jets coaching staff. https://t.co/VlwwjhEJBS
