Reese Witherspoon looked effortlessly chic while out shopping in New York City on Monday.

The 48-year-old film star cut a striking figure in a mostly black ensemble after picking up some skincare supplies in the Big Apple.

She layered over her trim figure on the chilly day with a voluminous black button-up coat with large patch pockets and a belt tied around her slim midriff.

The Big Little Lies star wore the coat over a pale-gray ribbed sweater and a sleek black maxi skirt that ruffled in the breeze.

Reese stayed on point with a set of black high-heel boots that elevated her modest stature, and she accessorized with a black leather Fendi handbag hanging on her arm.

The actress — who will soon be seen opposite Will Ferrell in the romantic comedy You’re Cordially Invited — wore her shoulder-length blond hair swept to the sides to put the spotlight on her impeccable skin and her black oval-shaped sunglasses.

In the A-listers latest film, she stars as a woman who reserves an inn located in coastal North Carolina as the cozy venue for the wedding of her younger sister (Meredith Hagner).

But things get complicated when the inn turns out to have been double booked for Ferrell’s character, whose daughter (played by Geraldine Viswanathan) is also getting married.

Fans on social media expressed excitement about seeing Reese team up with the former Saturday Night Live star for a big comedy, though the film apparently didn’t warrant enough confidence from its distributor Amazon to earn a theatrical release.

Instead, it will debut on Amazon Prime Video across the globe on January 30.

Last week, Reese and Will joined forces to promote the comedy with a joint appearance on The Graham Norton Show, which was also one of the first stops for Ariana Grande after she was nominated for the Academy Award for best supporting actress for her musical blockbuster Wicked.

Reese revealed during the talk show that she was called up for jury duty ‘seven years’ after she starred in the comedy Legally Blonde, and she was forced to sit for the entire two-week trial.

She starred in the iconic legal comedy as Elle Woods, a sorority girl who tries to win back her ex-boyfriend by enrolling at Harvard Law School to prove she’s smart enough to be his future wife. 

According to Reese, her fellow jurors apparently trusted her with extra responsibilities after she played the ditzy lawyer-in-training.

‘When we went to deliberation and it came to choosing a foreman, the entire jury picked me,’ she said. ‘When I asked them why, they said it was because I went to law school!’ 

Reese added that, though she and Will met when she hosted Saturday Night Live in 2001, it was another 22 years before they came up with another project to collaborate on.

‘I actually said yes to the movie and working with Will before I knew what the plot was, I just wanted to do it,’ she admitted.

Will added: ‘I had the best time, and it would be a dream to work together again.’
