Quick Recap: The Chattanooga Mocs are tied for ninth at the Westbrook Invitational after 36 holes on Sunday. The Mocs shot 290 over the opening 18 and improved a stroke to 289 in the second. The squad’s 579 is six strokes better than the 2024-25 low of 585 at the Evie Odom Invitational. Violeta Fernandez-Tagle led the way today at 3-under 141 with scores of 68 and 73. Kera Healey is also under par at 2 und with twin 71s today.
 
First Take: “I’m feeling OK with today. Obviously Kera and Violeta had it going. I was really pleased with how Makenzie battled back and how Chloe dug deep after not playing great in the first round. Giulia got off to a great start, but nothing fell for her today.”

A Closer Look

• Entered the event with five under par cards over the 12 fall rounds. Turned in four today.
• Team turned in 25 birdies today. Twelve in 1st round and 13 second. That’s just four shy of the season-high 29 for 54 holes at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate.
• The opening 18 was a strong effort by Fernandez-Tagle. She turned in five birdies with a single bogey for her 68.
• 68 is Fernandez-Tagle’s third card in the 60s this season. Leads the team ahead of Foresta with two.
• That 68 was Violeta’s 20th par or better card.
• Healey was also strong with 1-under 71. Turned around with the same score in the afternoon.
• 142 is Healey’s top 36-hole score in 2024-25. It’s one off her career best of 141 at the 2023 Tulane Classic.
• 5 under on the par 5s through 36 holes. The ladies were 2 under on the long holes during the fall.
