This is William Mouw. He is in fact a pro golfer, playing in the AmEx yesterday when this happened. I’m in awe. I’m in awe of the announcers losing their mind, the announcer cackling at the 1:37 mark, the disdain in their voice when he finally quit and decided to chip it back to the fairway. It’s one of the bigger meltdowns I can remember. Sure, it’s not at the level of Spieth at the Masters or Rory at the US Open or Jean van de Velde, but a 13! 

This is real golf though. Actually real golf is your buddy laughing hysterically while trying not to be a dick and saying ‘man just pick it up and take an 8 or a 10.’ That or just lying and saying give me a 10 and saying your handicap won’t let you take more. Whatever scenario you decide to want here. 

Just brutal. You know you can’t come back from this. You don’t make a 13 and all of a sudden have a good mental state. That bunker is known for being a disaster, but nothing like this. The announcers really sell the video though. Just brutal man. He bounced back today and had a good look at it all:
