Bishop McDevitt won its second PIAA championship in the past three seasons with a dramatic 34-31 overtime victory over Roman Catholic Friday night at Cumberland Valley High School.
The District 3 champions won it on Aidan Grella’s 21-yard field goal on the second possession of overtime after Roman missed their FG attempt.
McDevitt quarterback Stone Saunders finished 19-for-26 for 287 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, becoming Pa. career leader in passing yards and completions during the game.

Nazir Jones-Davis has starred on both sides of the balling, running 16 times for 77 yards and a TD and contributing five tackles on defense.
Roman defense has impressed as well with a goal-line stand and a forced turnover on downs. Will Felder with team-high seven tackles.
QB Stone Saunders is 8-for-12 for 108 yards and a TD. He is 23 passing yards away from breaking the Pennsylvania career passing yards record.
