QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) — The Quincy Family YMCA is hosting a “Souper Bowl Workout” ahead of the big game on Sunday, February 9.
The free fitness event will take place from noon until 2:30 p.m.
There will be a lineup of thirty-minute workout sessions led by different YMCA instructors. Participants are also being encouraged to bring a canned good to benefit Quincy Catholic Charities.
Wellness Director Beth Mackenzie says there’s a lot of hype ahead of the event.
“We want people to exercise before they go out and have fun for the Super Bowl. They’ll sweat, burn some calories, and the most important thing is to have fun. And we also like the aspect that we’re partnering with a local organization to do better for Quincy,” Mackenzie said.
Mackenzie is encouraging everyone to come on Sunday and see what the YMCA has to offer.
