Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) closed the 2024 financial year with a net profit of 735 million QAR (194 million USD), up 19% over one year.
Insurance Service Result rose by 71.3% to 514 million QAR (135.7 million USD).
At end-December 2024, insurance revenue stood at 8.6 billion QAR (2.3 billion USD), against 10.089 billion QAR (2.7 billion USD) at the end of 2023, marking a decline of 14.8%.
Gross written premiums dropped by 2.4% over one year to 9.143 billion QAR (2.4 billion USD). Over half of these premiums (52%) were written in Qatar and the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) zone.
