In August 2024, overseas purchases of travel sets decreased by -8.2% to 374K units, falling for the second consecutive month after two months of growth. Imports peaked at 2.4M units in December 2023; however, from January 2024 to August 2024, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, travel set imports fell remarkably to $589K (IndexBox estimates) in August 2024. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2023 with an increase of 156% month-to-month. Imports peaked at 3.8M units in December 2023; however, from January 2024 to August 2024, imports failed to regain momentum.
