Doha, Qatar: Qatar Digital Academy, an initiative by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has signed a partnership initiative with Huawei during the Web Summit Qatar 2025. This agreement is set to provide government employees with educational opportunities in crucial digital fields, including cloud computing, information technology, IoT, and other emerging digital technologies.
The partnership initiative was signed by Duha Al Buhendi, Director of the Digital Society and Digital Competencies Department at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, and Alex Dai, EVP Huawei Gulf North, in the presence of H E Reem Al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT and Rico Lin, President of Huawei Gulf North Region and other officials from both the Ministry and Huawei.
Commenting on the partnership, Duha Al Buhendi stated: “This partnership initiative with Huawei marks a significant step for Qatar Digital Academy in empowering government employees with advanced digital expertise. It aligns with the sixth pillar of the Digital Agenda 2030, which focuses on building a future-ready digital society. Our goal is to enhance digital inclusion and provide high-quality educational opportunities that equip government employees with essential digital skills. This partnership also supports the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
On the other side, Alex Dai said: “At Huawei, we are committed to fostering digital talent and empowering local ICT ecosystems. Through our partnership with QDA, we are providing globally recognized training programs that will equip individuals with the knowledge and expertise to thrive in Qatar’s fast-evolving digital landscape. We believe that talent is the key to a successful digital transformation, and this partnership initiative is a significant step toward that goal.”
Under the terms of the partnership initiative, Huawei will provide digital training courses to government employees, granting them access to the Huawei Talent Platform. Employees will be able to create their own accounts and enroll in a diverse range of training programs, offering a flexible learning experience tailored to their professional needs and schedules.
