In preparation for the upcoming winter season and with the goal of providing safe and dignified shelter to the Syrian displaced families who have endured harsh conditions in tents for many years, Qatar Charity, in collaboration with the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), has begun handing over homes in Al Amal City project to displaced families in northern Syria’s camps.
To ensure a smooth and organized transition, Qatar Charity is delivering the homes to the displaced families in phases. The city will officially be inaugurated once the relocation process is completed.
Al Amal City project is a major initiative in Qatar Charity’s ongoing efforts to provide shelter for those affected by crises and to create a dignified living environment for displaced families in northern Syria. The apartments are fully furnished with furniture, electrical appliances, and household items.
Gratitude and Thanks
On this occasion, Mr. karam Ali, director of Qatar Charity’s office in Turkey, expressed gratitude to the people of Qatar for their generous contributions, which, after God’s will, made this important project a reality and allowed for the distribution of homes to the displaced families. He prayed for God’s blessings on them and asked that their good deeds be recorded in their favor. Classification: Internal
He added: “This achievement is a gift from the people of Qatar to our brothers and sisters affected in Syria. Qatar Charity has spared no effort to turn this dream into reality. Any exhaustion fades when we see the joy and smiles on the faces of mothers as they receive their new homes, which provide them with safety and peace of mind for their children, especially as the handover occurred just before the winter, sparing them the dangers they faced while living in tents.”
Dream Realized
Beneficiaries expressed their immense happiness upon receiving their new apartments in Al Amal City. Displaced woman Um Hassan said: ” today we have been blessed after ten years of patience. During those years, we faced very difficult conditions, and just yesterday, the rain flooded our tents and damaged our belongings. But today, we have moved into the residential city and settled in safe homes, which has brought joy to our hearts. We thank the Qatari peoples and Qatar Charity, who have spared no effort in supporting us. Another beneficiary, Mr. Abu Ghassan, said: “We suffered greatly over the past ten years from cold, rain, and many difficulties. Our big dream was to have a home that would protect our family and children. today that dream has come true. We thank the people of Qatar for their continuous support, and may God reward them all the best.”
About Al Amal City
It is worth mentioning that Al Amal City, located in the town of Suran in northern Aleppo countryside, consists of 1,400 residential units. In addition, it includes educational and service facilities, such as schools for boys and girls, a kindergarten, a vocational training school, a mosque, commercial shops, and a clinic. The city is fully equipped with Classification: Internal ل داخ infrastructure, including a water and sewage network, electricity, and paved roads.
