TOKYO: State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji received a courtesy call from Jaber Jaralla MA AL-MARRI, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar, on July 24.
According to the Foreign Ministry, State Minister Tsuji welcomed Ambassador Al-Marri to his post and expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s stable energy supply to Japan over the years. He also stated that he is pleased that Japanese companies are contributing to the development of important infrastructure in Qatar beyond the energy sector.
Ambassador Al-Marri reciprocated the warm sentiments, expressing his gratitude for the contributions made by Japanese companies to Qatar. He also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening relations with Japan across a wide range of fields under the strategic partnership.
The Ministry said Tsuji and Al-Marri also exchanged views on the current situation in the Middle East, including Gaza.
