A Qatar Airways will now offer caviar in business class, a delicacy that is usually only served in first class. Initially, the caviar will be available on 13 routes leaving Hamad International Airport (DOH), with almost half of these destinations being in the United States.
Regarding the enrichment of the gastronomic offer in business class, Xia Cai, senior vice president of product development and design at Qatar commented:
“The introduction of the caviar service, commonly available only in first class cabins, further elevates Qatar Airways’ award-winning business class experience. We are committed to continually improving our in-flight services to raise industry standards and delight our passengers.”
In addition to routes to the USA, the Qatar Airways will offer caviar in business class on seven other routes. These routes include two destinations in Asia, one in Australia, one in Europe and one in South America.
On the mentioned routes, the Qatar Airways operates with its fleet of Airbus A350 and Boeing 777. To cover longer distances, such as between Doha and Sydney or Melbourne, the carrier employs its Airbus A380.
In relation to the A380, during the Farnborough Airshow 2024, the CEO of Qatar Airways Badar Al Meer reiterated the company’s support for the aircraft. According to him, the quadjet remains the ideal choice for routes where airports impose capacity limitations.
