Qatar Airways, the state-owned national airline carrier of the Gulf state, and Italian soccer giants Inter Milan have today announced an expanded partnership.
Under the agreement, the company will become the Serie A club’s main training kit partner and retain its position as its official airline partner.
Qatar Airways will replace LeoVegas.News, the soccer-focused online magazine owned by the Swedish mobile gaming company which expanded its partnership with Inter to become its training kit sponsor in February 2023.
That contract was valued at around €5 million ($5.4 million) per season.
As part of the deal, the Qatar Airways logo will now be prominently featured on all training apparel and warm-up jerseys in all competitions, including Serie A, Coppa Italia, UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
The expanded partnership covers all Inter teams, including Inter Women and the Inter youth teams.

The deal also covers all business units from the existing Qatar Airways agreement, including Hamad International Airport as Inter’s official airport, Qatar Duty Free as the club’s official duty-free, Qatar Airways Privilege Club as its official frequent flyer program, and Qatar Airways Holidays as official fan travel partner.
Additionally, Qatar Airways will continue chartering the Italian champions in the 2024-25 season for intercontinental competitions, whilst also facilitating international travel for Inter fans.
The airline will also continue to have branded LED signage around Inter’s home stadium, while also delivering fan activations.
In addition to Qatar Airways appearing on the front of Inter’s training shirt, the 2024-25 training kit also sees the debut of BPER as the official training kit sleeve partner, while Konami remains the training kit back partner, a role the company has held since July 2022.
The deal begins with the club’s start to pre-season on July 13.
Meanwhile, crypto trading platform Kraken is partnering with Spaain’s Atlético de Madrid ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Kraken will become the official crypto and web3 partner of the club and the official sleeve partner for the men’s and women’s teams.
Atlético and Kraken will collaborate on new fan and client experiences. These include initiatives such as web3 projects, live activations, and community outreach programs for fans.
This functions in a similar way to Kraken’s existing partnership with the Williams Racing UK-based Formula 1 motor racing team, signed in March 2023.
