When flying Qatar Airways to the bucket list paradise of the Maldives, travelers can now book connecting travel onwards from Malé with Maldivian Airlines.
“We are proud to offer the option of a seamless process, allowing passengers to book one ticket that includes both their Qatar Airways flight to Male, and the connecting Maldivian flight to their beachside getaway,” said Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer at Qatar Airways.
Here’s what the interline partnership could mean for your next trip to the Maldives.
Thanks to a new interline partnership with Maldivian, the nation’s flag carrier, Qatar Airways passengers can book a single ticket itinerary between their departure city and 17 destinations across the archipelago.
“By offering more choice and enhanced access to our strong and growing route network, we aim to boost tourism to the Maldives, showcasing our pristine islands to travelers from around the world,” said Ismail Amrah Umar, chief commercial officer at Maldivian.
Passengers flying in premium cabins or with Oneworld and Qatar Airways elite status will now also be able to enjoy perks and benefits when flying Maldivian, according to Antinori.
Qatar Airways joins Emirates and Etihad in offering an interline connection with Maldivian for enhanced connectivity around the island nation.
