On Thursday, October 10th, Qatar Airways announced a new benefit for flying on one of the private jets in its fleet of aircraft operated by Qatar Executive. Travelers that take advantage of Qatar Executive private jets can now collect and spend Avios while flying. Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club members can also use and collect Avios while flying Qatar Executive flights. Avios is a frequent flyer program currency, which is also shared by British Airways and Iberia. This is a brand-new partnership between both Qatar Executive and the Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
Speaking about the new partnership between Qatar Executive and the Qatar Airways Privilege Club, the Qatar Airways Senior Vice President of Loyalty, Thomas Vadakedath, stated,
“As Privilege Club continues to augment the loyalty programme with exclusive experiences for our members, we are proud to collaborate with Qatar Executive. Members who prefer flying in the comfort of private charters can now collect Avios when making their bookings with Qatar Executive. Furthermore, members can now also choose to experience the luxury of Qatar Executive by paying for their flight, either in full or part with Avios. We look forward to seeing our members benefit from this fruitful collaboration.”
Members of the loyalty program can earn Avios loyalty points by booking flights on Qatar Executive aircraft. For every one US dollar that a member spends, they can earn four Avios. These reward points can then be redeemed their Avios in full or with the addition of cash for separate Qatar Executive flights. Points earned on Qatar Executive flights are eligible to be used for other Qatar Airways flights.

Additionally, members of the Qatar Airways Privilege Club that fly Qatar Executive are eligible for four complementary tier upgrades after the first Qatar Executive booking. This includes one Platinum and three Gold tier upgrades. These can be given to family members, friends, or other business partners. Family members can also pool their Avios together to purchase Qatar Executive flights.
Qatar Executive is an official subsidiary of Qatar Airways, also based in Doha, Qatar. Initially, the company was developed for chartering business jets to wealthy travelers. However, since then, the company has evolved to include several other business operations. This includes aircraft management and a maintenance and service portfolio for aircraft. The company was also appointed as an Authorized Service Facility by Bombardier, allowing the aircraft to service both the Challenger and Global series of aircraft.
