Qatar Airways has announced an expansion into South America with the launch of flights to Bogotá, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela, starting in early summer 2025.
The new routes will connect Doha’s Hamad International Airport with Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport before continuing to Caracas’ Simon Bolivar International Airport. The return service will operate non-stop from Caracas to Doha.
The move makes Qatar Airways the first airline to offer direct flights from the Middle East to Colombia and the only Middle Eastern carrier flying to Venezuela.
These additions bring the airline’s Americas network to 16 destinations, joining cities such as New York, São Paulo, Miami, and Toronto.
The flights will be operated on Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, featuring 42 Business Class seats and 234 Economy Class seats.
