New USMNT coach shares philosophy for making team a contender in 2026 World Cup
Mauricio Pochettino has a lot of work to do to turn around the U.S. Men’s National Team before America hosts the 2026 World Cup. “Poch” walks us through his plans.
AC Milan head coach Sérgio Conceição hinted Christian Pulisic could miss Wednesday’s Champions League game against Girona, but wasn’t ready to completely rule the American out.
Pulisic missed Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Juventus with a muscle injury he suffered in last week’s victory over Como.
Though the 26-year-old avoided any muscle tear, Conceição has still been cautious with his return to avoid any further injury.
Pulisic wasn’t seen training with his teammates on Tuesday, but Conceição said there would be one final test on the day of the game before Milan makes a final decision.
“We have training tomorrow morning, let’s see how it goes,” Conceição said at his pre-game press conference.
“I don’t want to risk losing him for a month or two. If he’s 100 percent and can help, I’ll bring him to the bench; otherwise, I won’t.”
Milan is currently in 12th place in the Champions League table, just one point behind eighth place and an automatic bye to the round of 16. After Wednesday’s game against Girona at San Siro, the Rossoneri will close out group play with a match at Dinamo Zagreb next week.
Pulisic has 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions this season, leading Milan in both categories.
After Milan’s game against Girona, it will host relegation-threatened Parma in a league match on Sunday before traveling to Croatia.
