Wintry weather and fires canceled many of these first-timers’ maiden special weight races at Turfway, Santa Anita and Oaklawn last week, so a few familiar names are back in the entries. Wondrous, a 3-year-old half-sister to Clark (G1) winner Maxfield, is back at Turfway on January 17. Clubhouse Cutie, a half-sister to multiple graded-stakes winner The Chosen Vron, is re-entered in her debut race Thursday at Santa Anita.
Meanwhile, Chasten, the 3-year-old half-sister of Eclipse champion Idiomatic, is set for her stakes debut at Fair Grounds in the Silverbulletday, a key early Kentucky Oaks prep. Check out more notables below.
