Look West debuts in race 6 at Delta Downs for owner Boyd Caster. The 3-year-old son of Lookin At Lucky is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Concert Tour ($881K). He’ll make his first start in a maiden special weight at five furlongs on the dirt for trainer Tim Dixon with Johan Rengifo aboard. Listed at 10-1 on the morning line.

Second start for colt out of G3 winner Take the Ribbon
Deep Manhattan returns in race 8 at Fair Grounds for John D. Gunther and Eurowest Bloodstock Services. The Justify colt comes off an impressive maiden victory, winning by five lengths in his turf debut on November 28 at Fair Grounds, earning a strong 98 HRN speed figure. Out of Grade 3 winner Take the Ribbon ($372K), he’ll be ridden by Jose Ortiz for trainer Cherie DeVaux and is listed at 3-1.
Half-sister to G3 winner Toro Strike
Taratel tries race 6 at Gulfstream Park for Al Shaqab Racing. The daughter of Candy Ride finished third in her debut at Aqueduct on Nov. 8, beaten 4 1/2 lengths with a 79 speed figure. She’s a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Toro Strike ($154K) and is trained by Todd Pletcher. With John Velazquez in the irons, she is listed at 4-1 on the morning line.
Second-time starter looks to improve
At Turfway Park race 2, Starship Reality makes her second start for Starship Stables. The Union Rags filly was seventh, beaten five lengths, in her debut over the synthetic surface Jan. 2. Trainer Kelsey Danner has Adam Beschizza assigned for the ride at 7-2 on the morning line.
Half-brother to G2 winner Actress
Hot Property competes in race 8 at Fair Grounds for Gary and Mary West. The Medaglia d’Oro colt comes off a fifth-place finish in the Smarty Jones Stakes at Oaklawn on Jan. 4, beaten 11 1/2 lengths. A half-brother to Grade 2 winner Actress ($545K), he’s trained by Brad Cox and listed at 9-2.
Half-brother to G3 winner Chaos Theory
Purdy Darn Good tries race 7 at Turfway Park for PTK LLC. The Laoban colt was fourth last out at Turfway on Dec. 19, beaten 1 3/4 lengths with a 70 HRN speed figure. Half-brother to Grade 3 winner Chaos Theory ($436K), he’s trained by Bill Cowans and listed at 5-1 odds.

Half-sister to G2 winner Miracle Strike

Ponderosa tries race 2 at Sunland Park for owner Kamil Ozhan. The 3-year-old son of Blame comes off an eighth-place finish at Zia Park on Dec. 4, beaten 16 1/2 lengths with a 47 HRN speed figure. Out of Relaxing Green ($160K), he’s a full sibling to Grade 1 winner Marley’s Freedom. Ponderosa is trained by Dick Cappellucci and listed at 5-1.
Half-sister to G1 winner Hootenanny
Tipple makes her third start in race 2 at Aqueduct for owner-breeder Summer Wind Equine. The Constitution filly was a good second last summer at Saratoga on Aug. 14, beaten just a nose with an 88 HRN speed figure. Half-sister to Grade 1 winner Hootenanny ($935K), she’s trained by Linda Rice.
Full brother to G1 winner Basin
Austin’s Map competes in race 4 at Oaklawn Park for Jackpot Farm. The Liam’s Map colt was fifth last out at Churchill Downs on Nov. 2, beaten 9 1/4 lengths with a 72 HRN speed figure. A full-brother to Grade 1 winner Basin ($574K), he’s trained by Steve Asmussen.
Half-brother to G2 winner Takeover Target
Dothraki runs in race 8 at Santa Anita for SF Racing and partners. The Into Mischief colt was sixth last out at Del Mar on Nov. 1, beaten 13 3/4 lengths with a 73 HRN speed figure. Half-brother to Grade 2 winner Takeover Target ($827K), he’s trained by Bob Baffert with Martin Garcia in the irons.
Half-brother to G1 winner Bodemeister
In the same race, March of Time competes for Bregman Family Racing and partners. The Justify colt comes off an impressive maiden victory at Santa Anita on Dec. 27, winning by 2 1/4 lengths with a strong 99 HRN speed figure. Half-brother to Grade 1 winner Bodemeister ($1.30M), he’s trained by Bob Baffert and Juan Hernandez has the ride.

First-timer out of G3 winner Aloof
Straight Forward debuts in race 5 at Fair Grounds for Whisper Hill Farm. The 3-year-old daughter of American Pharoah is out of Group 3 winner Aloof , who earned $171K. Making her first start in a maiden special weight for trainer Steve Asmussen, she will be ridden by Edgar Morales.
Half-brother to G1 winner Hawkbill
Daham debuts in race 5 at Gulfstream Park for HRH Prince Saud Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz. The American Pharoah colt is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Hawkbill, who earned an impressive $4.83M. For his first start on the Gulfstream synthetic, trainer Jose Francisco D’Angelo appointed Irad Ortiz Jr. to ride.
Half-brother to multiple stakes winner War Story
Emergence also debuts in race 5 at Gulfstream Park for Qatar Racing, CHC and Trilogy USA. The Uncle Mo colt is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner War Story, who earned $3.27 million in his long career. Trainer Brad Cox sends out this first-time starter with Luis Saez up.

Brass debuts in race 8 at Turfway Park for trainer Robert Medina. The Curlin colt out of the Indian Charlie mare Kateri is a full-brother to Grade 3 winner Souper Sensational ($563K). The homebred is making his first start for Newtown Anner Stud.
Impressive debut winner steps up to stakes
Moonlit Drive makes her second start in the Ruthless Stakes, race 3 at Aqueduct, for Jay Em Ess Stable. The Quality Road filly broke her maiden first time out at Aqueduct on Jan. 10, winning by a neck. Out of Grade 1 winner By the Moon ($1.55M), she’s trained by Michelle Nevin. Her stakes-placed Into Mischief half-brother Full Moon Madness is entered in the Toboggan (G3) later on the card.

Tux drops in class for a confidence-builder in race 7 at Gulfstream Park for owner-breeder LNJ Foxwoods. The Tapit colt was third last out in the Remsen Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct on Dec. 7, beaten three lengths with a 90 HRN speed figure. Out of Grade 3 winner Fancy Dress Party ($267K), he’s trained by Bill Mott.

Colt out of G3-placed Tejana
Swaging debuts in race 5 at Fair Grounds for owner Keith Plaisance. The City of Light colt is out of Grade 3-placed Tejana, who earned $144K. Making his first start for trainer Joseph R. Felks.
Looking to improve second time out
El Zain makes her second start in race 9 at Gulfstream Park for Shadwell Farm. The Medaglia d’Oro filly was eighth in her turf debut at Gulfstream on Jan. 5, beaten 11 3/4 lengths. She is out of the Grade 1-winning mare Centre Court and is a full-sister to Grade 3 winner Navratilova. Trained by Brendan Walsh, she switches to dirt for this start. Edgard Zayas has the ride.
