EU countries should direct their efforts toward cracking down on illegal gambling websites whose activities result in billions of lost euros for EU tax authorities, according to Poland, which holds the EU’s rotating presidency.
In a note dated Dec. 19 and seen by Bloomberg, Poland wrote the European Union should consider a working group on gambling, set up by the European Commission and composed of national experts.
