Point spread released for Alabama football vs. Michigan in bowl game
Alabama opened as a 11.5-point favorites to win the Rose Bowl rematch vs. Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, according to BetMGM.
The over/under was set at 43.5 points.
The Crimson Tide will play the Wolverines on Dec. 31 in Tampa — nearly a year after losing to the eventual national champions the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
While the game will lack the stakes of the College Football Playoff, it’s nonetheless an opportunity for both teams.
A win would extend UA’s streak of double-digit wins to 17 seasons.
The last time it fell short of that total was Nick Saban’s first season in Tuscaloosa when the Tide went 7-6 (five of those wins were later vacated).
Alabama was the first team left out of the College Football Playoff on Sunday, finishing No. 11 in the final rankings.
SMU was picked as the last team in the 12-team field after losing to Clemson in the ACC Championship Game.
