ANN ARBOR, MI – Briarwood Mall will soon offer people a place to shop, eat and work out all in one trip.
Planet Fitness, which lauds and markets itself as a judgement-free zone, is set to open in December in the mall at 100 Briarwood Circle. The 18,000 square-foot-gym will be in the JCPenney wing across from Tricho Salon & Spa, according to a news release.
The area will feature a new layout with a fresh lobby area, a redesigned front desk reception and increased strength and functional training equipment. Weights and cardio machines will be offered along with small group classes and personal training.
“We are thrilled to announce Planet Fitness is bringing its high-quality fitness experience to Briarwood Mall,” Kelsey Luha, director of marketing and business development at Briarwood Mall, said in a statement. “Briarwood Mall remains dedicated to providing our shoppers with outstanding guest amenities and service fit for every lifestyle. The addition of Planet Fitness solidifies our commitment to continue expanding our lifestyle offerings to meet the needs of our community.”
