in rural Spicer, the final golf event of the year, the Crow’s Revenge golf scramble, made things a bit more challenging.
One hundred and twelve golfers gathered at the greens Saturday to take on a more rigorous version of the course. On all 18 of the course’s holes, pins were rearranged to make things more challenging and test their skills. All 28 teams of four had to golf from farther back — and make harder swings — all in the name of fun.
“This is just one time a year. It is the last event of the year. It is kind of a final ‘hoorah’ for the season,” said Jesse Brace, golf shop manager. “It is just for fun; it isn’t a super competitive event because the pins are in illegal positions.”
