After sharing his first media day with his son Bronny James, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James posted a series of photos of the two of them together on Instagram with the caption, “PURE JOY.”
The caption echoed the 39-year-old’s answer when asked how it feels to be playing alongside his son, who was selected by the Lakers with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA draft.
“Just pure joy, to be honest,” LeBron told reporters on Monday. “To be able to come to work every day, put in the hard work with your son every day and see him continue to grow.”
The father-son duo posed for pictures and already participated in a scrimmage against one another, giving Bronny a first taste of going up against his dad.
“We got switched on the, kind of mid-post area… he spun baseline and went up and under. The refs that were reffing that game… his foot stepped on the line a little bit. I got that stop,” Bronny said with a laugh.
The youngster is expected to partake in the Lakers’ preseason opener on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which is surely another moment his legendary father will cherish.
