TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Perrysburg City Council members are holding a public hearing on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of bringing a large sports entertainment complex to town.
According to our media partner, The Blade, it has been long-rumored that there’s a plan to build a Top Golf facility, although there is no specific business name mentioned in the council agenda.
Council members will be considering a rezoning request for the parcel of land on Eckel Junction Road near Dixie Highway, changing it from residential to commercial.
Perrysburg’s plan commission has already voted against the zoning change after dozens of residents spoke against the idea in a September meeting.
The rezoning hearing will take place on Nov. 19 and will begin at 5:30 p.m. It will be followed by a regular council meeting at the Perrysburg Municipal Building located at the corner of W. Indiana and Walnut.
