Packers safety Xavier McKinney loved his first season in Green Bay
Packers safety Xavier McKinney talks about wrapping up a strong first season with the Packers, earning first-team All-Pro honors.
The Green Bay Packers came to play at the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Skills Showdown.
Xavier McKinney, Rashan Gary and Josh Jacobs dominated their events on Thursday night in the reimagined Pro Bowl week in Orlando, Florida.
Pro Bowl festivities now features a series of skills competitions ahead of Sunday’s flag football game with challenges like a relay race, dodgeball, tug-of-war and a Madden NFL 25 competition.
The three Packers Pro Bowlers were perfect in their events.
McKinney and Gary represented the NFC in the “Helmet Harmony” game. Like an old “The Newlywed Show” game, teams earned a point if they accurately guessed what their partner answered to a question. They faced the Buffalo Bills team of Dion Dawkins and Connor McGovern.
The first question asked participants about their least favorite city to play in.
Both McKinney and Gary answered Chicago. Well done.
Asked by the host about the reason for their answer, Gary said, “Everybody knows the reason. It don’t have to be explained. Go Pack Go.”
The Bills team answered differently so the Packers and the NFC built on their advantage.
McKinney and Gary were just getting started. Asked what other position their teammate would play for the second question, both answered running back.
“My dawg knows me well,” McKinney said.
The final question asked participants about their coach’s favorite player. Both answered Packers quarterback Jordan Love. A third point. They beat out the Bills team, 3-2, to give the NFC a 6-4 lead after two rounds.
Jacobs also showed his smarts during the “Passing the Test” game.
Jacobs’ role came into play by answering trivia questions about Pro Bowl players. Jacobs helped Lions quarterback Jared Goff earn an additional 50 seconds to hit more targets after going 5 for 5 in his questions. Each correct answer gave Goff 10 extra seconds. Every time Goff hit a target he gained points for his team.
Watch Jacobs dominate his test:
McKinney, Gary and Jacobs will be back on Sunday for the Pro Bowl game.
The Pro Bowl, now a flag football game coached by Peyton and Eli Manning, begins at 2 p.m. The game is held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
It’s a traditional NFC vs. AFC format.
