PERRY, Fla. (WCTV) – Nearly $8,500 and four illegal gambling machines were seized from two convenience stores in Perry last week, according to the Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC).
The two convenience stores confiscated included Katie’s Kountry Store, located at 15729 Beach Road and Perry Fast Mart, located at 720 S. Jefferson Street, the FGCC wrote in a press release Tuesday.
The two stores are 350 feet from each other, according to Google Maps.
The FGCC said $8,154.77 was seized from three illegal machines at the Perry Fast Mart. As a result, Store Owner Hua Chen was issued a Notice to Appear for one charge of possession of slot machines and an additional charge of keeping a gambling house, per the FGCC statement.
Nearly $340 was seized from one illegal machine at Katie’s Kountry Store, according to the press release. Store Manager Mosfiqur Masrafi was also issued a Notice to Appear for one charge of possession of slot machines.

The two stores were among seven locations busted last week across north and central Florida. Over $19,000 cash and 35 machines were seized from the seven Florida stores in total, according to the FGCC.
