MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Ouachita Green has some exciting events coming up in March.
On March 15 the nonprofit organization will host Household Hazardous Waste Day at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. It’s a free event where community members can dispose of potentially dangerous items such as paint, motor oil, prescription drugs, pool chemicals and more.
Ouachita Green’s director Sheila Kay Downhour said the event was made possible by a Keep Louisiana Beautiful grant totaling $8,012.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Below is a full list of accepted items.
March 24 is Ouachita Green’s annual Golf Tournament. The tournament is a fundraiser that will be held at the Calvert Crossing Golf Club.
It is $500 to register a four-person team. 18 holes, a golf cart, green fees, lunch, snacks, beverages and a goodie bag are included.
