The Oregon Ducks moved up a spot to No. 2 and the Indiana Hoosiers continued their ascent in this week’s Big Ten football power rankings from The Oregonian/OregonLive.
Oregon, which is gearing up for a marquee matchup against Ohio State on Saturday at Autzen Stadium, swapped places with Penn State, which dipped to No. 3 this week.
The Hoosiers moved up to No. 4, their highest ranking of the season, after cruising past Northwestern to reach 6-0 on the season. Nebraska rounded out our top five after the Cornhuskers beat Rutgers 14-7.
Illinois remained sixth, followed by Michigan, which fell from fourth into a tie for seventh with USC. The Wolverines lost at Washington on Saturday, while the Trojans, who had been at No. 5 in last week’s power rankings, fell on the road at Minnesota.
