Oregon safety Kobe Savage will not utilize his additional year of eligibility as a former junior college player.
Savage, who played two seasons at Tyler Junior College and later at Kansas State, announced he will remain in the 2025 NFL draft. The sixth-year senior had a career-high 64 tackles (2.5 for loss) and a pass breakup this season.
Savage is one of three Oregon football players impacted by the NCAA granting a waiver allowing former junior college players whose eligibility was exhausted in 2024-25 to play in 2025-26.
Nose tackle Jamaree Caldwell and offensive lineman George Silva IV also have an additional year of eligibility. Silva is returning to UO and Caldwell is also remaining in the draft.
