Toei Animation’s popular One Piece anime series has revealed an official first look at its Los Angeles Lakers merchandise, exclusive to its upcoming crossover event this February.

Via a press release, fans got their first look at the upcoming merchandise for the highly anticipated One Piece x Los Angeles Lakers NBA crossover night on Feb. 28, 2025. Those in attendance will receive a limited-edition Lakers x One Piece t-shirt and a poster featuring newly revealed artwork of the beloved Straw Hat Pirates in Lakers’ purple and gold. Further experiences include a One Piece Bounty Rush photo op via the booth on the main concourse inside Crypto.com Arena. One Piece Anime Heads to the NBA With World Premiere of New Luffy Animation & More

The event will feature the world premiere of a new One Piece animation of Luffy playing basketball; randomly selected fans will be invited to compete for prizes in a special on-court One Piece game. Tickets for the Lakers vs. Clippers game are still available from Ticketmaster starting at $153. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. local time.

Quickly following One Piece‘s arrival in L.A. is another crossover in May: Luffy and the crew head to the Boston Red Sox’s Fenway Park for the game against the Minnesota Twins, revealed to be just one of many upcoming collaborations with MLB teams. It follows the success of last year’s One Piece Night at Fenway Park and was joined by fellow anime-sport crossover My Hero Academia Night at the Texas Rangers Stadium last fall.

Pokémon Concierge, previously a Netflix-exclusive series, is now officially available on another streaming service for free for a limited time.

Fans can stream One Piece on Crunchyroll in English subbed and dubbed. The series is currently on a production break, returning in April for the resumption of the “Egghead” arc. It’s described: “Monkey D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become King of the Pirates. With his rubber-like stretching powers granted by the supernatural Devil Fruit, the spirited young pirate seeks the legendary treasure known as the One Piece.
