Did you get into groove watching the British Open? Found a sweet spot in terms of just the right time to get up (or stay up until) to catch all the action without losing too much sleep? Well, it’s time to rewind and do it all again the next few weeks as the Olympic men’s and women’s golf tournaments take place outside Paris, with some fun coffee golf/morning edition in store for many Americans watching on the East Coast and late-night brew on the West Coast.
With golf returning for the third time to the modern Olympic Games with the competition taking place at Le Golf National outside Paris, NBC Sports will be broadcasting live coverage of both the men’s and women’s tournaments on Golf Channel and streaming on Peacock.
The field for both events will include 60 players competing in 72-hole stroke play with gold, silver and bronze medals going to the top three finishes. In both competitions, the defending gold medalist is back to try to win again, Xander Schauffele taking the men’s title in Tokyo in 2021 and Nelly Korda winning the women’s competition.
