The Old Man Disc Golf League recently donated $3,065 to Mountain Top American Legion Post 781.
The money was raised through a disc golf tournament sponsored by the group. About 50 people participated in the tournament held on the American Legion grounds.
“We wanted to show our gratitude to the veterans who have served our nation, and this donation is our small way of honoring that commitment,” said Harold Jackson, a member of the organization.
The funds will go toward supporting the various programs offered by the Mountain Top American Legion, which plays play an invaluable role in the lives of veterans and the broader community, the group explained. The OMDGL extended its heartfelt thanks to all participants and supporters who made this meaningful contribution possible.
