The Division I and II girls tennis state tournaments are scheduled for Thursday and Friday at the College of Wooster.
The Division I tournament includes Hudson freshman Emma Liu and Archbishop Hoban senior Haley Slay in singles and Highland has an entry in doubles with senior Ally Haynes and junior Claire Schlak.
Liu, Slay, Haynes and Schlak were in action last week in the Division I district tournament at Springside Athletic Club.
None of the Division II district qualifiers from Greater Akron advanced to the state tournament.
Play is scheduled to begin each day at 9 a.m.
Liu finished third in the district tournament under the guidance of coach Tim Morgan.
Slay was fifth in the district tournament under the tutelage of her father/coach, Terry Slay.
Haynes and Schlak placed third in the district tournament to advance with coach Lisa Reynolds.
Liu and Slay finished one-two in the sectional singles tournament at Springside. Haynes and Schlak finished first in the sectional doubles tournament in Medina.
