OHSAA boys golf | Green’s Silas Kirkpatrick is sectional medalist, Hoover wins team title
ALLIANCE — Silas Kirkpatrick of Green won the boys golf Division I sectional title at Tannenhauf, while Hoover won the team championship Friday.
Kirkpatrick shot 72 to finish a stroke better than Daniel Gambone of Hoover and three shots up on Liam Curtis of Kent Roosevelt.
Gambone’s 73 helped Hoover score 320 as a team and finish three shots better than Canfield. Jackson (325) and Green 327) rounded out the top four teams. All four advance to the district tournament.
Curtis led the way for individual district qualifiers. The other three individual qualifiers are all from Stark County — Thomas Mankowski of McKinley, Eddie Karam of GlenOak and Aiden Koehler of Massillon.
