Ohio State football went to the transfer portal this past season and came out with some of the best players available, adding talent like Caleb Downs and Quinshon Judkins. Both of those talented players ended having a massive role in the Buckeyes ability to run the table and win the national championship, taking the down the then-undefeated Oregon along the way.
Judkins was part of an elite backfield duo alongside TreVeyon Henderson, and both of them were at the NFL Combine this past week. It would be shocking to not hear each of them have their name called in the late-April NFL draft, but neither are expected to be a first-round pick. Judkins ended with 1,060 rushing yards and 16 total touchdowns, both of which were down from his previous two seasons with Ole Miss. He led the SEC with 1,567 rushing yards as a freshman in 2022.
As for Judkins, he’s clearly had some interest from NFL franchises as he met with the Steelers per SteelersDepot.com’s Jonathan Heitritter.
Judkins also discussed how he feels he can do it all, from pass protection to catching out of the backfield. Considering he did have 22 receptions for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns with the Buckeyes this past season, he did back that up this past season.
Expect Judkins to be a Day 2 or Day 3 pick as he certainly has the talent to be a prolific rusher at the NFL level.
