ATLANTA — Ohio State football had a perfect Monday, beating Notre Dame to claim the ninth national title in program history.
However, the postgame scene wasn’t as smooth.
Coach Ryan Day, quarterback Will Howard and linebacker Cody Simon were leaving the OSU locker room to head to their postgame press conference.
They took a seat in a golf cart reserved for them. However, the driver struggled to make a sharp turn and crashed the vehicle into a wall.
Nobody was injured in the incident, and the Ohio State trio walked away in laughter.
After the golf cart didn’t start back up, they pivoted and successfully made their trip to the other side of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Ohio State defeated Notre Dame for its fourth win in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.
OSU beat Tennessee at home in the first round before beating Oregon in the Rose Bowl, Texas in the Cotton Bowl and Notre Dame in the CFP championship.
