TROY, MI — A WARN notice has been filed with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity by US Farathane, LLC indicating the company will permanently close its Troy plant on June 30, 2025. With the plant’s closure, US Farathane says 180 jobs will be lost, which includes 157 hourly employees.
The Auburn Hills-based company says affected employees will have the chance to apply and interview for jobs at the company’s other plants in Southeast Michigan. The company operates facilities in Michigan, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas, along with multiple facilities in China and Mexico.
US Farathane develops and manufactures plastic products for the automotive industry and has been in business for over 50 years, according to the company website.
Job losses at the Troy facility are expected to begin on March 28.
