Eight of the top boys basketball programs in New Jersey will play in a round-robin series of games throughout the season in a collective known as Big Jersey Basketball.
Bergen Catholic, Gill St. Bernard’s, Hudson Catholic, Don Bosco Prep, Montclair Immaculate, Roselle Catholic, Rutgers Prep and St. Peter’s Prep are scheduled to play in four marquee events in January. The series will start with games at Paterson Kennedy on Jan. 1.
“New Jersey has such a rich tradition of basketball, and we are looking to take that tradition to the next level,” Justin Leonard, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Big Jersey Basketball, said in a press release. “Year one marks the beginning of our Challenge Series, but our vision for this brand and what it can mean for the future of New Jersey basketball is ambitious.”
