Aside from a brief one-match appearance in Stuttgart in 2023, King Kyrgios – as is his UTS moniker – has not played since partnering Thanasi Kokkinakis at the season-ending ATP Finals in November 2022.
But Kyrgios today announced, via a video post on his personal Instagram account, that he is all set to play UTS New York next week.
“I want to inform anyone that keeps up with UTS, or is a tennis fan out there, that I will be competing on the 22nd August at the Forest Hills Stadium in New York,” Kyrgios said in the video.
“I know it’s been a long time. But my body’s finally ready to get back out there and have some fun.”
UTS New York kicks off next Thursday, 22 August, and runs until Friday, 23 August. You can still purchase tickets for the highly-anticipated event here.
