The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots enjoyed the Sunday Night Football timeslot in their last two meetings, with both games won by the Seahawks at the 1-yard line. Suffice to say, the league wasn’t exactly eager to schedule this famous matchup under the bright lights for a third consecutive time.
FOX has the rights to Seahawks vs. Patriots in Foxboro, and since this is a singleheader week there will only be one game shown in this window. Unsurprisingly, the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys are the main game going to much of the United States, followed by generally more “local and secondary markets only” coverage for their other games on the slate.
Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma will be on the call at Gillette Stadium. They handled the Seahawks’ win over the Arizona Cardinals last season, as well as the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If you’re in the green parts of this 506 Sports map, you’re getting Seahawks-Patriots.
The Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals is the second-most distributed game, and a lot of that is because select markets (Minneapolis, Nashville, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Charlotte, and Baltimore) have home games on CBS in the 10 am window, so picking Rams vs. Cardinals means those matchups are broadcast unopposed.
You can go to 506 Sports for the rest of the coverage maps. Here’s the full list of TV commentators for the rest of the week:
