Shortly after the Buffalo Bills had defeated the Miami Dolphins and before the paint was dry on promoting the Indianapolis Colts’ game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9, opening odds for Bills at Colts in Week 10 became available. While it may seem strange to present odds before both teams play their games, the odds haven’t shifted since last evening.

As such, entering Week 10 the 7-2 Bills are 4.5-point road favorites over the 4-5 Colts with FanDuel Sportsbook. The current moneyline is Bills -250 / Colts +205 (a change from opening moneyline of Bills -220 / Colts +184). The Over/Under (O/U) is set at 47.5 (-110 Bills/Colts).

Though Buffalo’s record and playoff situation is far more favorable, with them the current two seed in the AFC overall, Indianapolis is not to be taken lightly. There are those who believe their only true blemish is at quarterback — which, admittedly is huge. The Colts have turned things over to longtime veteran Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco. The 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year takes over for second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson who appears in need of some behind-the-scenes in-depth coaching.

The Bills are rolling, winners of four straight with a four-game lead on their nearest AFC East foes in the New York Jets. They finished the season sweep of the Dolphins thanks to a franchise-record 61-yard go-ahead field goal by kicker Tyler Bass with mere seconds in regulation.

Indianapolis lost their Sunday Night Football matchup with the Minnesota Vikings 21-13, failing to score an offensive touchdown. The Vikings under defensive coordinator Brian Flores continued their trend of bringing plenty of blitz heat, and it worked well to stifle Flacco all evening, while managing to limit opportunities for running back Jonathan Taylor.

Will Buffalo take a few pages out of Minnesota’s defensive playbook and try to make life uncomfortable for Flacco and Indianapolis? The current odds seem to favor something along those lines. The Bills must do their best to limit the damage Taylor can cause, because Buffalo’s run defense has been anything other than fantastic this season.
