The race to the playoffs is on in the back-half of the 2024 NFL season, and everything is still up in the air.

Injuries around the league are mounting up, and it remains to be seen which teams are best able to go with the flow down the stretch and find a way to steer into the slide and find ways to compete with their depth.

Two games to circle on the Week 10 calendar are the Sunday Night Football match up between the Texans and Lions, two of the hottest young teams in the league. Houston is a shoe-in to win the AFC South at this point, and the Lions appear to be a lock for the NFC North — but this serves as a good litmus test for both teams as they approach the postseason.

The other is Steelers vs. Commanders, which begs to be an old-school, smash mouth defensive game punctuated by some big plays. This is another solid test for Washington, who looks to make a case for being regarded as one of the best teams in the NFL this season.
