Picking the NFL each week is a crapshoot at best, but in 2024 it’s damn-near impossible. In a short period of time we’ve seen some of the most stunning results in recent history. The Bengals and Jaguars, both seen as preseason playoff locks, starting their seasons 0-3, which the Vikings, widely believed to be the worst team in the NFC North is now 3-0.
That’s before we layer on the monumental injuries that have shaken up the league. Malik Willis is tearing it up in Green Bay, the Dolphins are struggling without a true quarterback under center, and Christian McCaffrey is dealing with a nagging achilles injury.
The only constant in 2024 is that the Chiefs are still really, really good. They should begin the season 4-0 with a game against the Chargers this week, especially when there are questions about whether Justin Herbert can play.
