One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Black Friday is Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. No one ever questioned Mahomes’ status as an elite NFL quarterback, but two months into the season, he was QB22 overall and on a points-per-game basis in Fantasy football over the first seven weeks of the season. Besides his name appeal, there was little reason to use Mahomes in NFL DFS lineups. But Mahomes is QB4 overall and QB8 on a points-per-game basis since Week 8 with his Fantasy production matching his overall greatness and effectiveness on the field.

Mahomes has thrown for more than 260 yards in four of his last five games with 12 touchdowns compared to three interceptions over that span. He threw for three touchdowns in three of those contests and last week, Mahomes rushed for a season-high 60 yards to add to his NFL DFS total. The two-time NFL MVP and three-time Super Bowl MVP threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Kansas City’s first meeting with the Raiders this season and he’s averaging 293.4 passing yards per game since the 2020 season against the Raiders, making him a must-add even at his price for Black Friday NFL DFS lineups.

Part of McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. The 28-year-old had 10 receptions for 121 yards on 15 targets last week. Meyers has more than 100 yards in two of his last three games and with the Raiders being double-digit underdogs, they may need to throw often, which could result in another huge target share for Meyers.

Meyers is averaging 9.7 targets over six contests without Davante Adams this season as he’s become the top wide receiver option in the passing attack.
