There’s a new Defensive Player of the Year favorite in the NFL.
After two weeks, Aiden Hutchinson (+400) has taken over the top spot on the DPOY odds board at DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Lions defensive end has been utterly dominant through two games with 10 total tackles, a league-leading 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
The third-year Michigan product has quickly become one of the top pass rushers in the NFL, registering 21 total sacks through his first two seasons after being drafted second overall in the 2022 NFL Draft by Detroit.
Despite last week’s loss to the Buccaneers, the Lions’ defense has looked much-improved thanks in large part to Hutchinson’s leap, allowing 20 points in each contest through two weeks and just five yards per play.
Player | Odds |

Hutchinson opened the season with the sixth-best odds (+1400) to win the award, Micah Parsons, Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, Maxx Crosby and Nick Bosa at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Parsons, who was a +500 favorite before Week 1, now has the fourth-best odds (+650) after a slow start for the Cowboys’ defense.
Watt, who is also off to a hot start with two sacks and seven tackles for the 2-0 Steelers, now has the second-best chance at winning the award +450.
Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett has fallen outside the top five at +950.
