In his latest mock draft, NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah has the New England Patriots selecting LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell with the fourth overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
The Patriots need to reset on the offensive side of the ball, and Campbell could play a big role in helping them do that. Their offensive line struggled with consistency throughout the 2024 season, giving up 52 sacks on the year. That was the fifth-most in the league.
They had different offensive line combinations through each of the first seven games of the season. Jeremiah believes Campbell would be an upgrade for the unit, as he wrote in his piece:
There are higher-rated players available here on my board, but the Pats need to upgrade their offensive line in a big way.
The Patriots have several needs on the offensive side of the ball. Drafting Campbell wouldn’t necessarily be a big-time splash on a playmaker, but he would solve one of the longtime problems for the team.
