WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Are you making any resolutions for the new year? For many people, health is at the top of the list for their 2025 goals.
Samantha Johnson is a soccer player who wants to start 2025 on the right foot.
“I have been planning to run more this year, I have been running for a while, started a month ago. I am planning to do some races, maybe in March the 5K, and maybe the half marathon,” said Johnson.
Johnson plans to run 2-3 days a week to reach those goals.
Meanwhile, Beth Levine was hitting the gym Wednesday with a cast on her right arm, she is looking for unique exercises to stay in shape.
“I feel like this year will definitely be different, it’s gonna be my year,” said Levine.
According to a recent study by Drive Research, 79% of people want to improve their health.
36% of those people are like Eric Crowley, who wants to improve their mental health.
“At the end of the day, I do reflections about how I was throughout the day. Was I arrogant? Was I selfish? Things like that,” said Crowley.
That Drive Research study says roughly 1 in 10 people stick to their resolution. Crowley says he has a plan in case he has a bad day.
“I can talk to people that I trust, I will sit with my thoughts and I will meditate on them. And I will count the things that I am grateful for, that really helps me get through every day,” said Crowley.
The trio is optimistic about what the future has in store, as they look to better their lives both inside and out in 2025.
